Although Nepal has been gifted with the largest mountains in the world, these same natural beauties create a difficult and rugged environment to inhabit. WFP provides assistance to those in need through a variety of programmes. One such programme is the School Feeding Programme that currently feeds over 290,000 Nepalese children. It costs just 19 cents per day to provide a meal for one student. Although the fundraising effort associated with Squiz’s climb has no limit, he has set the goal of $60,000 USD, of which $30,000 will be donated to support this programme. The additional $30,000 will be expended during the expedition (i.e. Climbing permit, guiding company fee, equipment purchases, food and accommodation etc).
